Marin Headlands Hike

Today was day 2 of the three day weekend and Levi and I spent it hiking in Marin with 4 of our friends and their three dogs.  We had quite a diverse pack of dogs including Aedan (golden-doodle), Jill (terrier/dachshund mix), ChaCha (pit/ridgeback mix?), and of course Levi (most wonderful breed-golden retriever).  We got lucky and it was a gorgeous, sunny day in the Bay Area.  Levi enjoyed frolicking on the beach for a little bit before we headed out on the hike.  He even met a 5 month old Golden Retriever puppy named Axel that was very cute and wanted to follow us around.  Unfortunately I was thinking all about hiking when getting ready and forgot about the beach part of it so I forgot to bring him a ball or toy to fetch in the ocean.  We made due playing fetch with some sticks though.

The Start of a Great Weekend

Levi and I started off this three day weekend with a great trip up to Tahoe today with two of my friends and their dog, Aedan.  We went to Echo Lake, one of my usual snowshoeing locations.  The snow was the nicest I've seen so far this season, and the dogs (and humans) had a blast.  We were even able to snowshoe across the frozen and snow covered lake.

Levi is ready to go!

Aedan says that his dad makes him wear silly clothes

He thinks he pulls it off well though.

What a cute little family :)

It even started snowing a little bit on the way back.
Tomorrow we're headed in the opposite direction to the Marin Headlands for a hike with more friends.  I feel so lucky to be able to be in Tahoe one day and the beach the following day.  Living in Davis has its perks!
